Kicking off the 2030 Challenge: Global contest for the SDGs

CBS, Udenrigsministeriet, oikos Copenhagen

-

This summer, students from Danish and African universities will collaboratively develop solutions to critical challenges against the backdrop of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Danish-African development priorities. The 2030 Challenge is an initiative by Copenhagen Business School, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark and oikos Copenhagen. CBS, oikos and five Danish embassies in Africa have invited students to help solve local challenges to the SDGs. We launch the challenge at Folkemødet and present the cases and the students from Algeria, Denmark, Egypt, Ghana, South Africa, and Tanzania. And we ask the question: How can universities and the Foreign Ministry best facilitate student engagement in the SDGs and development cooperation?
