Join us for an open talk about the challenges of the Belarusian people facing unprecedented repression and violence in the “last dictatorship” of Europe. Two highly knowledgeable Belarusian human rights activists, Kanstantsin Staradubets (Viasna Human Right Center) and Andrej Stryzhak (Belarus Solidarity Foundation BYSOL) will share horrifying stories about what goes on behind the iron curtain and how the regime punished not just activists, but also their families.
They will also discuss how Europe must not forget about Belarus and the thousands of people who fled after the clamp down in 2020 and there will be opportunity for questions from the audience.
The conversation will be moderated by journalist Matilde Kimer who also documented the police violence after the fraudulent presidential election in the summer of 2020.
Arrangementet er finansieret med tilskud fra Europa-Nævnet. Ansvaret for indholdet er alene tilskudsmodtagers.
