Allinge, the hometown of Folkemødet
Folkemødet's home is the beautiful port town of Allinge, located on the northern tip of Bornholm.
The cobbled streets in Allinge offer a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, bars, small shops, and smokehouses to visit. Since 2011 Allinge has received thousands of guests when Folkemødet takes place. This celebration of democracy completely changes the cityscape for about four days in June. During the festival, the city is filled with debates, events, concerts, and parties.
